Opt Ins: Beebots

We had a lot of fun coding with the Beebots today! We used the coding cards to practice making our Beebots follow an algorithm. We then made our own codes and planned how our Beebots would move around a maze or furniture or the car track.
Lastly we finished with a 'challenge' where we had to estimate how many codes would be needed to reach the wall. Bede and Harper G were our winners!

Self portraits

We have been working on a self portrait over the last 3 afternoons.
Firstly we drew a self portrait
Then we worked on a background

One group used coloured stripes or squares

Another group worked on sticking on koru patterns cut out for us

These 2 groups finished theirs today...

And the other group drew and cut out their own koru patterns before sticking them onto the background

They are going to be finishing tomorrow!!!
We are so impressed with our art!

Our Handwriting

Today in Class Miss Fairbairn asked us to write out the ABC's in lowercase letters to see if we could write them all the correct way. Check out what Michaela did at the end of her ABC's! It's just like the song. How cute was she! She was listening super hard to instructions about what to do!

SMART Moves

SMART Moves are so much fun! We learn so much about balance and co-ordination. It is so important to have these skills for later in life with our sports etc. Check out some of the activities are that we get up to!
